The Exterior Revival Story

Exterior Revival began as a dream to get out of a dead end job. As a young man graduating from high school and heading off to college I believed I wanted to study law at Cleveland State University. After one semester I quickly realized that I was not cut out for a collegiate career and would much rather head into the trades. After wandering aimlessly for a few months after college I found a landscaping company to work for. The job was not so bad at first. I genuinely enjoyed being outside with crews taking care of peoples properties, but I knew this was just a dead end job with no chance for advancement. Winter quickly came around and the outside work slowed. Luckily I had a good boss who kept me on over winter to do interior construction work. Most days I worked alone with my only company being a Milwaukee shop radio and a kerosene heater. This is where I dove into some pretty deeply unhappy times with no clear path ahead. I began listening to daily talk radio, but quickly got bored. This led me into a rabbit hole of self development and business podcasts. I was hooked. I dove deep and I knew I wanted to start a business of my own to build my own dream. That spring I worked that landscaping job for all of a month until I could muster up enough jobs to cover my weekly pay check and from then on I was on my own journey. It has been a tough couple of years working non stop, but also rather rewarding. There is still a long way to go, but Exterior Revival is here to stay. I have dedicated every waking hour for a few years to get this far, and have big aspirations ahead. I am a long way from “making it”, but I will.
